The Neuroscience Alliance is an educational organization. We are a Clinical, Educational and Research Department of Neuropsychiatry and Neuroscience without walls.
We meet regularly for journal club meetings, grand rounds and educational forums to discuss new treatments for neuropsychiatric illnesses such as autism, bipolar, depressive, anxiety, psychoses, dementia, traumatic brain injury, epilepsy, migraine, catatonia and sleep disorders.
There were 12 pharmaceutical companies that were invited in 2009 (i.e. Abbott Labs, Astra Zeneca, Avanir. Bristol Myers Squibb, Cephalon, Cyberonics, Eli Lilly, Forest, Janssen, Pfizer, Takeda, Vanda and Wyeth). We offer the opportunity for open discussion in all of our meetings to allow members and guests to share their views on diagnosis, therapeutics, quality improvement and patient outcomes. This provides a unique opportunity to identify treatment selection, utilization of algorithms and assessment tools. Our financial support comes from educational grants, forensic services and educational services. We also support research into neuropsychiatric illnesses. We have included catch and release angling and wildlife conservation to our mission statement.
We have listed the event dates for 2010. These dates are not fixed and can be changed or switched as necessary. We have 12 companies and 12 dates. We can also offer additional dates for events by special arrangement.

Welcome to "The Neuroscience Alliance"
We are a group of physicians, nurses, physician assistants, social workers, pharmacists, medical consultants, researchers and scientists who get together with formal and informal meetings to discuss how better to serve patients with schizophrenia, bipolar, PTSD and mood disorders. The primary focus is to gather thoughts and ideas about the needs of patients, dosing strategies, adjunctive therapies and implementing new break through medicines.

Dr. Brendan Carroll, M.D. is the founder of "The Neuroscience Alliance".
Dr. Carroll is Board Certified in Psychiatry with additional qualifications in Forensic Psychiatry. He is a consultant for NMSIS, Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome Information Service(www.NMSIS.org).
